Okay it's 7am in the U.K. I've just finished nightshift (yay for me) and sitting at the computer with a 5litre keg of Old Speckled Hen (yes I love the stuff, I really do) poured at intervals into a good old English legal one pint glass, just finished a packet of pork scratchings with a large packet of good old cheese and onion crisps calling my name.
What's happening in the Oppo-niverse? It's been a little quiet on here lately, what's happening where you are?

see my reply to BlazinAce for the "skinny" on the current situation, but personally, all's good in my upper middle class 'hood here in the US

It's going just fine. I've a night off before I head back in again.
I don't mind going to work, it's the eight hour wait to go home that's the killer.

You mean the eight hour wait to go to the pub, right?

I don't know about that.
If anything, I'm merely a jackwagon, you nincompoop.

No, I've not been to a pub in ages (I don't go out much), I'm not a heavy drinker and most people I know want to get so drunk they forget the night they had. I like Old Speckled Hen and as I haven't drank much lately and have had a pretty crappy week (read women or rather woman) I just want to chill with a nice drink and see what's happening in the Oppo-niverse as it's been so quiet.
I did go to a lovely restaurant a couple of weeks (roast tender lamb shoulder was exceptional) back but didn't drink much as I prefer good company to getting inebriated.

I can't find it (my browser (Chrome) keeps timing out or whatever it does when it doesn't want to do what I want it to).

Ouch, the other guy working with children. I've worked with children and it's probably the hardest thing anyone could ever do.
I spent ages at my friend's child's bed (she was born with no muscle around her stomach but the stomach was inside her body thankfully as it often isn't when this happens), she didn't really know me but I knew her mother and she always smiled when she saw me and wouldn't sleep unless I was there to hold her hand. Children are amazing.
